You will need to be experienced in curriculum development and program coordination as the English Language program is changing rapidly while delivering tangible outcomes for the community.
Eligibility/Other requirements:
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR REGISTRATIONS/LICENCING
Refer to the ACT Public Sector Canberra Institute of Technology (Teaching Staff) Enterprise Agreement 2023-2026.
Teacher Level 2 and above must hold a full Training and Assessment Certificate IV level qualification (such as a TAE40110 or equivalent) and a Diploma in Adult Learning & Development (or equivalent).
Mandatory
Teachers in the CIT English Language programs must have:
A recognised bachelor’s degree and a recognised AQF level 8 postgraduate TESOL qualification.
OR
A Bachelor of Education with a TESOL major
OR
equivalent qualification.
Working with Vulnerable People Registration.
Industry Experience
In accordance with sub-Clause 40.10 of the ACT Public Sector Canberra Institute of Technology (Teaching Staff) Enterprise Agreement 2023-2026 all teachers at Teacher Level 2 are required to have relevant industry experience and vocational qualifications equal to that being taught, or as specified in the applicable training package or accredited curriculum specifications.
DESIRABLE
- Leadership/management/curriculum writing, development, and implementation experience.
