for detailsTeachers and school administrators employed at Kalumburu Remote Community School in 2024 are eligible to receive an Attraction and Retention Incentive of $5,000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.The ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.About the RoleThis role will suit someone who is highly motivated, relationship-focused, and passionate about creating exciting learning experiences to ignite a desire to learn in students. You will teach each class over the week in a subject area to be negotiated with the school. Highly sought after would be Visual Arts, Music, Technologies, Science or HASS. The nearest townships to Kalumburu are Kununurra (565 km Southeast), Wyndham (560 km Southeast) and Derby (650 km West). Road access to the region is dependent on seasonal conditions and Kalumburu is often inaccessible by road for four to six months of the year.
