Connolly Primary School (PS) is seeking a highly competent and enthusiastic Music teacher to join our friendly and supportive team.
We are looking for a teacher who stimulates imaginative and innovative responses and encourages students to develop their creativity through The Arts. The successful candidate will ideally support students to reach their creative and expressive potential. As a music teacher at Connolly Primary School, you should bring innovative and creative flare to our existing Music program while embracing whole school pedagogy. With a positive and enthusiastic approach, you should engage students to learn and develop within the music field. Experience with a musical instrument (of choice) and experience with school productions and performances is highly desirable. With excellent interpersonal skills you should possess the capability to collaborate with school staff and members of the wider community.
A dedicated and enthusiastic approach to teaching the Music curriculum and participating in the school’s extra-curricular activities, including school choir and band is key to this role.
We are looking for a dedicated Music teacher who is child focused and has high expectations of student achievement and teacher efficacy. The ability to collaborate will be highly regarded, as will the capacity to form professional and positive working relationships with students, staff, parents, and the wider community.
Connolly PS is an Independent Public School, established in 1991 and located approximately 25 kilometres north of Perth, close to the Joondalup Golf Course. The school provides educational services to students from Kindergarten to Year 6, with an enrolment of approximately 400 students. We have an experienced and dedicated staff who work together with parents to provide learning programs that reflect the individual needs of students. We provide a stimulating and caring environment which enables our students to develop to their potential.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;

- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
