Position Information
Coonabarabran Public School includes almost 200 enrollments and includes one multi categorical support class. Approximately 40% of students identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders. The school has a strong focus on literacy, numeracy and wellbeing.
Specific Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach special education and/or experience in teaching students with autism and moderate intellectual disability.
- Ability to differentiate the curriculum and assess, design, implement and evaluate personalised learning plans that are based on identified needs to engage students and improve learning outcomes.
- Demonstrated capacity to implement effective student wellbeing strategies which promote engagement and contribute to positive, productive and safe learning environments.
- Highly developed organisational, communication and interpersonal skills that support positive and productive relationships with students, staff, families and other key stakeholders.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
