We are seeking passionate teachers (current or retired), and pre-service teachers, to join our team of educators who work with students at our learning centre in Drouin.
We have a number of exciting opportunities available in the following areas:
- Primary Tutor (Math/Eng)
- Maths Tutor (Year 7 - 10)
- Maths Tutor (VCE)
Candidates are welcome to apply for one or all of the above positions.
Job Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Tutors spend 45/60 minutes (Primary/Secondary) with their students engaging them in their area of expertise
- Cover curriculum in line with student learning in the classroom
- Creatively use resources provided by STEM Zone, including hands-on learning activities, not online software.
- Face-to-face tutoring on-site.
- We do not offer remote tutoring. Staff tutor from our centre in Drouin.
- Build relationships with your students working with them weekly throughout the term dates.
- We value your input, and welcome your creative contributions to our programs.
- STEM Zone is open from 9am to 8pm Monday to Friday, and weekends by appointment.

The Successful candidate will be:
- Able to start immediately for Term 2, or as soon as practicable.
- Able to foster positive relationships with young people and inspire them to find their own passion and direction.
- Have the right to work in Australia and be available to work on-site in Drouin VIC.
Qualifications:
- Current teachers will have their VIT registration.
- Current Working with Children Check is desirable but can be obtained before starting the role.
- Our tutors must be teachers, or studying in the education field.
