About the team and the role
The People and Corporate Affairs Team is responsible for the airport’s people strategy including Organisational Culture, Employee Engagement, Leadership Development, Talent Acquisition and Talent Management, Diversity, Equality and Inclusion and Human Resources Operations, as well as the airport's Corporate Services.
Reporting directly to the Group Executive, People and Corporate Affairs (GE, P&CA), you'll be responsible for managing their schedule and providing essential administrative support. Your focus will be on ensuring tasks are efficiently organised and prioritised. Operating with open communication and upholding confidentiality, you'll ensure that plans are executed promptly and followed up on behalf of the team and the GE, P&CA.
In this role you will have the opportunity to
- Oversee the dynamic schedules and correspondence for GE P&CA and GM Corporate Affairs, including calls, meetings, and document preparation.
- Assist with approvals for capex, operating costs, and leave requests; ensure completion of mandatory safety activities and compliance training.
- Coordinate Board and Committee papers and prepare Board paper packs; manage document uploads for Executive Committee meetings and monthly reports.
- Schedule and follow up on 1-1s and team meetings; organize additional team meetings and events as needed.
- Handle invoices and expense claims in Oracle, ensuring compliance with policies.
- Undertake various projects for improvement initiatives; manage updates to the P&CA Plan and track budget spend.
- Promote participation in company-wide groups and volunteering activities.
About you
We are looking for someone who can handle multiple tasks with ease. You should be approachable, friendly, eager to learn, and ready to tackle any challenge with a positive attitude. As a key player in our People and Corporate Affairs team, you'll embody SYD's values and promote a positive team culture. Excellent communication skills are a must, along with a collaborative mindset to build strong relationships. You're also comfortable juggling various tasks and taking ownership to resolve issues when they arise.
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with demonstrated experience in a similar role, working as an EA or Team Assistant. Confidentiality is crucial in HR, and you'll set an example by maintaining discretion in all your interactions.
