Band 8 - Salary Range $120,224 to $134,591 per annum + 11% Super + RDO

The Opportunity

The Information Technology (IT) department contributes to this vision by transforming Melton City Council service delivery to achieve operational excellence, build community trust and enhancing citizen experience when engaging with council services.
As the Business AnalystTeam Leader, you are empowered to drive delivery of exciting business improvement opportunities and have a lead role in the change that brings these opportunities to life. At your disposal is a dedicated team of Business Analysts with diverse industry experience to aid in your success.
You will also play a pivotal role in transitioning a traditional information technology team into an innovation and transformation team that delivers with agility and speed. You have the opportunity to build closer alignment between the business and IT through a close engagement model that promotes strategy alignment and decreased delivery times for service enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, motivate and develop a team of Business Analysts to deliver programs and projects which meet the business objectives.
- Apply proven leadership skills to uplift the capability of the Melton City Council Business Analysis practice.
- Continually develop the business analysis framework.
- Undertake complex and significant policy, process and quality standard development.
- Identify and capitalise on opportunities and be innovative in developing new concepts to improve services.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- Tertiary Qualifications in business, commerce, or information technology-related discipline with further formal qualifications in the field of expertise or in management, or through at least four years of experience in another specialised field, alternatively lesser formal qualifications together with extensive and diverse experience, or intensive specialist experience.
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification.
- 5+ years leadership experience managing teams ensuring compliance between business strategies, enterprise transformation activities and technology directions within large and
functionally diverse organisations. - Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
