Team Lead - Industrial & Retail Structures

About the Role:

As the Team Lead – Industrial and Retail Structures you will be responsible for leading a team of structural engineers in the delivery of projects with a focus on Industrial projects, but also bulk goods retail, processing and education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure appropriate allocation of team resources, both internal and external, to successfully deliver services to client requirements and add value to client projects.

• Review the structural designs prepared by others for compliance with project requirements, standards and codes of practice.

• Provide timely technical leadership to the team to ensure technical excellence in design and documentation.

• Prepare calculations, reports and specifications for projects.

• Prepare and manage project deliverables on time and within the budget.

• Assist with the preparation of fee proposals and submissions and contribute to the development, growth and expansion of Inertia’s portfolio of clients and projects.

About you:

• Tertiary Qualification in Engineering with a minimum of 8 years industry experience.

• Demonstrated and proven experience in managing a range of structural industrial projects of varying size and complexity.

• Strong business & financial acumen with the ability to analyse, interpret, summarise, resolve and report.

• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to influence and liaise with a wide range of stakeholders.

• Strong organisational and time management skills with an ability to prioritise and manage workload, meet deadlines and adapt to changing circumstances.

• Relevant industry membership – MIEAust, CPENG, RPEQ
