We are seeking two highly motivated Team Leaders to join our accommodation services within our Supported Independent Living (SIL) and our teenage respite services. We currently have a full-time position and a 12 month fixed-term position, working Monday to Friday, based within our ACT & Queanbeyan region.
What will my role entail?
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the facility, providing guidance and mentoring to a team of well-established disability support workers.
- Ability to lead, motivate and up-skill staff in the disability and/or community services sector.
- Understanding care protocols, reporting requirements and restrictive practices.
- High level communication skills to effectively liaise with families, carers, and other organisations regarding the provision of support to clients.
- Efficient time management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- An understanding of privacy and confidentiality issues.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure our policies and procedures are consistently upheld by staff and the people we support
- Sound administrative and computer skills, with the ability to maintain various internal systems for client management, rostering, record-keeping, and risk management.
- Experience working with young people with complex needs and behaviours is advantageous, however not a requirement.
