The Portfolio Partnering Unit is a team in the Partnering and Support Branch, in the Corporate Division of the VSBA. The team complements the finance and reporting functions of the VSBA and partners with the business to further enhance key inputs as part of reporting and accountability responsibilities, to be a trusted source of information and to drive insights across the organisation.
The Team Leader will manage and oversee the work of the business partner team in the Portfolio Partnering Unit. The Team Leader will report to the manager of the Portfolio Partnering Unit and deeply engage with internal stakeholders across the VSBA. The Team Leader will:
- Lead a team to enhance the data inputs for the operational and delivery projects in the VSBA
- Build positive working relationships with the project managers in the operational and delivery divisions and collaborate with internal corporate divisions to enhance data quality
- Proactively identify areas in the business for analysis, develop recommendations and influence decision making
- Communicate through verbal and written complex financial issues effectively
- Motivate others to delivery against team objectives and builds team commitment
- Interpret and transform the financial and non-financial data to enable effective reporting
- Review and revise monthly forecasts and accruals for expenditure
- Analyse data to articulate trends, provide rationale for variances and provide recommendations for embedding insights from analysis to drive action
- Support the implementation of the VSBA Data Governance Framework through stakeholder engagement, communication, and process improvement activities
- Act as data steward who ensures that the data policies and standards of the business are adhered to
