Customs Team Leader

Reputable and well-known freight forwarding and 3PL/Supply Chain provider with offices strategically located around Australia.ABOUT THE ROLE
Responsible for the Customs Team, we are looking for a Licensed Broker with 10+ years' experience practising and a proven record of leading a Customs Team. With a strong, demonstrated technical skill set, we are offering a competitive salary for the right candidate. The team of brokers, classifiers/compilers, and transport operators, is settled but will benefit from a leader who can guide and mentor the team.DUTIES

• Extensive understanding of Australian Customs and AQIS rules and regulations
• Managing a team of brokers and an administration team
• Present periodic updates to the board of directors
• Resolve specific and technical queries for both clients and the Customs Team
• Regular performance appraisals to ensure the Customs Team is hitting KPI's

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 10 years' as a Licenced Customs Broker essential
• Proven management experience in a Customs Team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to meet and engage new and established business
• Further education in management will be advantageous
