About the Position
As the Team Leader Access and Inclusion, you will lead a team that coordinates and provides support services for CDU students with disability, ensuring that students with disability are afforded equitable opportunities to participate in their CDU experience. You’ll provide leadership, advice and information to staff and students regarding university policy, procedures and relevant legislation as they relate to Access and Inclusion.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
• Experience in working with students with disabilities along with tertiary qualifications in a relevant area or other relevant combinations of experience and training.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of government policies, programs and initiatives with regard to people with disabilities, and the ability to interpret and ensure compliance with Federal and Territory legislation relevant to people with disabilities to an educational context.
• Experience in managing staff with proven ability to work effectively with others both as a team member and coordinator including commitment to continuous improvement and best practice, and the ability to lead and adapt positively to change.
• Demonstrated strong organisational skills including an ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and work effectively and efficiently under pressure and within relevant policies, procedures and guidelines.
• High level written and oral communication skills including a capacity to effectively consult and negotiate with a variety of stakeholders, ability top maintain confidentiality, and demonstrated competence using technology such as student management systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in a field relating to Disability, Education, Social Work, Occupational Therapy and/or a combination of extensive and relevant experience working in the Higher Education Sector with students with Disability.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional level 7. The base salary will be in the range of $91,642 to $100,594 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $107,221 to $117,694 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
