We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join our Regional Assets, Track team located at our Cloncurry depot.
What Queensland Rail has to offer:
- Potential earnings up to $110,000 + 12.75% super - including penalties
- 9-day fortnight - Mon - Fri, Tues - Fri (3 day wkd every fortnight)
- General work hours: 0600 to 1500 in Summer & 0700 to 1400 in Winter
- Travel within roster, on paid work time (accommodation provided + travel allowance)

About the role
As the Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of a team of Trackworkers as directed by the Track Maintenance Supervisor. You'll utilise your people skills to ensure all aspects of work is carried out safely and efficiently. This position is constantly in the field so you must be able to work in challenging weather conditions and high temperatures.
In this role you will:
- Ensure all aspects of works are carried out in an efficient and safe manner
- Supervise the day to day operations of delegated workgroups
- Ensure regular servicing and maintenance of all plant and equipment is performed
- Liaise with the Track Maintenance Supervisor regarding daily program requirements
- Assist tradespeople in allocating mechanical maintenance support of machines as requested
- Undertake administrative and recording duties
- Based within the local area and have the capacity to travel and work throughout regional Queensland
- Experienced in track maintenance/construction activities and work planning
- Leadership, people management and negotiation skills
- Problem solving, analytical and quality improvement skills
- Open C class drivers licence
