About the Role
The Team LeaderCommunity Inclusion is responsible for identifying and supporting opportunities for all to be engaged and connected in community. This includes working with people from backgrounds including CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse), Disability, Ageing, First Nations, Children, Youth, Families and Faith based cohorts.
Reporting to the Manager Community Partnerships the core responsibilities include:
- Leading development of new Inclusion Strategy
- Leading development of Reconciliation Action Plan
- Lead Shires efforts Seniors Month and Positive Ageing Summits
- Drives the development of frameworks and strategies to ensure that our priority populations voice has input into Council projects, events, and strategies.
- Supporting a range of committees, working groups, awareness, and inclusion events.
About You
A result driven leader with experience delivering key inclusion strategic work.
- An appropriate tertiary qualification or other formal qualifications with substantial work experience related to inclusion.
- Demonstrated experience in leadership area preferably in local government environment.
- Experienced working with priority populations in a strategic role.
- Exceptional interpersonal and teamwork skills and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
- Exceptional Microsoft Office skills and substantial experience managing a client relationship database.
- Sound written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
