Your Team
The Corporate Actions - Investment Operations (IO) Team sits within the CFS Fund Services division. IO consists of five teams of SMEs: Trade Support, Corporate Actions, Asset Control, Asset Pricing and Static Data. Combined, they are responsible for maintaining an accurate Accounting and Investment Book of Records.
This position reports to the Corporate Actions Manager
Your Responsibilities
- Processing and settlement of Corporate Actions transactions are correctly captured.
- Working closely with, Custodian, Statutory Reporting, Group Tax, Auditors, and other stakeholders to ensure processing and reporting are aligned with best practice and regulatory requirements.
- Research market information sourced from varies vendors and exchanges to determine correct tax outcome in accordance with the applicable tax legislation.
- Lead and support team output to deadlines, goals, and objectives.
- Peer review and authorise all BAU workflow.
- Ad hoc projects as required for CA and Investment Operations
- Streamlining and enhancing current processes, updating SoPs
- Develop and coach team members to facilitate with their learning and development.
Your Capability and Experience
- SME knowledge of Australian and International Corporate Actions and tax related matters with 5+ years relevant industry experience.
- Strong Risk Mindset
- Comprehensive understanding of the application of tax principles for financial instruments, trust, and superannuation
- Understanding and experience in wealth management and/or investments industries
- Advanced communication (written and verbal)
- Self-motivated individual, pro-active style and desire to provide excellent service to customers.
- Familiarity with Simcorp Dimension essential
- Robust data analytical skills, advanced Excel
