About the role
Join us as the Team Leader: East (Residential Services) and make a difference in the lives of Aboriginal children and young people. You will lead two Residential Services homes, overseeing dedicated House Managers and a team of 6-10 staff in each home. Your role involves ensuring the highest quality care, maintaining cultural connections, and advocating for the best interests of the child.
As a leader, you will provide culturally safe supervision, manage rosters, foster professional development, and contribute to program development. Be a key player in ensuring compliance, auditing, reporting, and continuous quality improvement. Your ability to assess and manage risks, along with adherence to policies, will ensure a safe and supportive environment for all. Mandatory requirements:
- A degree qualification in Social Work, Welfare or a related field is required for this role. You may be required to complete additional training to meet the qualification requirements for Residential Care.
- You must have and continue to hold a full Victorian Driver’s Licence; a current employment Working with Children Check card and a National Police Check.
- Current COVID-19 vaccinations (minimum two doses and booster shot before commencement)
