  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team who are responsible for early intervention, community engagement and awareness and capacity building activities in the community.
  • Lead the Customer Experience team within the headspace Tweed Heads Program to ensure that all Young People and their Families are supported and receive timely and responsive support.
  • Work closely with the headspace Leadership Team to develop a consistent and considered approach to mental health and wellbeing support for Young People in the Lismore and Surrounding Communities
  • Plan and develop community engagement and awareness activities alongside the Community Engagement Team that meet the needs of communities of diverse identities, abilities, and cultures.

Joining us, you’ll guide a team of dedicated individuals who are focused on supporting Young People and their community to better understand mental health issues affecting Young People and build pathways for holistic support.  From leading a team to being involved in the delivery of workshops and events in the community, your work will be diverse and impactful.

We are looking for a passionate leader with a desire to make a difference. The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in health, psychology, social work, social science or social welfare, health promotion or similar
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team in the social and human services sector.
  • Experience in the child protection arena including a sound understanding of current trends, legislation, and child protection practice.
  • Experience and knowledge of working with people presenting with mental health and/or other complexities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of trends and models of service delivery for community, family, housing, employment and/or youth programs
  • Excellent relationship, negotiation and conflict management skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain strong and effective relationships with government/funders, service providers, staff, peers and key stakeholders in the local community.
  • Experience in implementation and monitoring of quality assurance processes across customer service programs, including managing risk and program evaluation.
