About the Opportunity
We are currently looking for the next leader of the Macarthur Assertive Treatment team. Are you ready to take the next step in your career?
The Macarthur Assertive Treatment Team works within a Flexible Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) model providing holistic care and treatment to consumers diagnosed with a severe and persistent mental illness within a recovery oriented and strengths focused paradigm.
The team operates on a 7-day rotating roster and provides holistic and evidence-based intervention and treatment through comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and the establishment of individualised care plans in collaboration with consumers and carers.
The FACT model enables the provision of assertive community-based treatment to reduce the risk of protracted hospital admissions, supporting consumers to maintain their mental health well-being in the community setting and drawing on the consumers natural resources and systems.

What You'll be Doing
The Team Leader is responsible for the leadership, guidance and line management of the Macarthur Assertive Treatment team in collaboration with their manager.
They provide supervision, support and clinical expertise within Mental Health services for the delivery of safe, timely, compassionate and high quality, recovery focused and person-centered care. They are involved in planning, implementing, evaluating and reporting on services. They identify opportunities for improvement in clinical practice, as well as service delivery and develop and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff and teams within the district.

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible. * Occupational Therapist currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Qualified Social Worker which provides eligibility for registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Full Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with full endorsement in the area of Clinical Psychology or eligibility to progress to ‘Clinical Psychology Endorsement’ with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate Clinical Psychology qualification of no less than two years full time duration or recognised equivalent. Registered Nurse, currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team in the provision of effective, evidence based, recovery-oriented assessment and treatment services within an acute, community based context.
  • Demonstrated senior clinical knowledge and extensive experience relating to clinical practice in the field of mental health including relevant qualifications or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, and demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage conflict as well as maintain a positive workplace culture.
  • Proven ability to evaluate clinical services and implement the principles of Continuous Quality Improvement based on the EQUiP National standards and Work, Health and Safety in relation to service delivery
  • Must possess a valid Australian Drivers Licence (excluding learner driver's licences). If not already in possession, a NSW Drivers Licence must be obtained within 3 months of appointment.
