ABOUT THE ROLEMyTime is a Department of Social Services funded program which provides peer support to families who have children with a disability, chronic health conditions and complex needs.The
Team Leader – MyTime will be responsible for administering the operational, financial and service delivery requirements defined by the Parenting Research Centre (PRC). This entails ensuring the successful facilitation of up to 22 peer support groups, comprising MyTime provider organisations, group facilitators, and families, across Western Australia.Current employees interested in an exciting secondment opportunity are warmly encouraged to apply.
DUTIES- Ensure that service provision aligns with Ngala’s Strategic and Operational Plans.
- Uphold best practices informed by current evidence.
- Adhere to contractual reporting, financial, and administrative tasks outlined in the Agreement between the PRC and Ngala.
- Foster a positive partnership and maintain strong relationships with the PRC.
- Cultivate and nurture positive partnerships with existing and prospective MyTime provider organizations in Western Australia.
- Advocate for the interests of provider organizations, MyTime families, and Ngala at a statewide level.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS- Diploma or higher in Community Services or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in solution-focused/strength-based approach.
- Familiarity with community development principles.
- Understanding of various community contexts including disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island, and CaLD.
- Strong administrative and computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
If successful, you will need to possess a current WA driver's licence, Working with Children Check, and a satisfactory National Police Clearance obtained within the last six months.
