About the Role
Are you passionate about Team Leadership and creating a results focussed function? Do you have a proven track record of driving business improvement and experience in a broad range of property related matters?
The Team Leader - Property Strategy and Operations is responsible for strategic and organisational performance of the Property functions within the unit. The Team Leader will work with the Manager – Property & Commercial Services to lead a driven and highly efficient property team, where the team is entrusted with the efficient and equitable management and operation of assets owned or managed by the Shire on behalf of the broader community.
Balanced with this equitable management is a key outcome of driving operations to achieve returns that deliver a net financial contribution to the Shire.
Reporting to the Manager Property and Commercial Services the core responsibilities include:
Providing sound advice in relation to property matters.
Team supervision and career development.
Rental portfolio management.
Property acquisitions and disposals (including encroachment management).
Maximising revenue from leasing and licensing.
Policy development and report writing.
About You
Passionate about Team Leadership.
Tertiary qualification in business management, planning, legal or property or a related discipline, combined with several years of relevant experience is preferred.
Ability to interpret complex legislation on a range of property related matters and coordinate legal advice.
Experience in the preparation of leases, licences, and agreements.
Experience in local government or other complex organisations.
