Senior Occupational Therapist - Team Leader
(Salary $100,000 to $115,000neg. plus super, depending on experience)
Brilliant Minds Psychology and Occupational Therapy is a private allied health clinic based in Springwood, Qld. We are dedicated to providing exceptional occupational therapy and psychology services to children and adults. We are committed to empowering individuals to overcome challenges and achieve their highest level of independence. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly qualified, experienced and Senior Occupational Therapist Manager to join and lead our dynamic team. Must be innovative and progressive and able to manage a team, client load and multiple roles.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Occupational Therapist Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in leading our occupational therapy team to deliver high-quality services. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Leadership and Team Management:
Provide effective leadership to a team of OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTs, ensuring optimal performance, collaboration, and professional development.
Training in all areas including paediatrics and adults. We are predominately a paediatric practice - successful candidate will have experience in this area.
Conduct in-house supervision and training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.
Foster a positive and supportive team culture, promoting open communication and collaboration.
Experience working with neurodivergent people, children, families, stakeholders and adults.
Experience creating and delivering presentations.
Ability to develop an OT education series.
Demonstrated experience working in a similar role.
Development of holiday programs and projects
2. Education Series Development:
Develop comprehensive education series tailored for clients and the community to raise awareness about the benefits of occupational therapy. This will include development of in-house training video content and social media content.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create engaging and informative content that aligns with the needs of our target audience.
Provide training to our team.
3. Client Interaction:
Engage directly with clients to assess their needs, create personalized treatment plans, and deliver exceptional occupational therapy services.
Maintain a caseload while ensuring that team members are adequately supported to achieve their own caseload goals.
You will have a reduced caseload of clients. You will have experience in assessment including using child and adult assessments including functional capacity assessments.
4. Quality Assurance:
Implement and monitor quality assurance measures to ensure that occupational therapy services meet industry standards and organizational guidelines.
Continuously evaluate and improve clinical processes to enhance the overall effectiveness of the occupational therapy department.
