We’re looking for an experienced Mental Health Leader to join our community-based team. This is a virtual telephone & online health service requiring you to work from home on a full-time fixed term contract, across a 24/7 roster supporting our night shift team.

About you
You are an experienced leader who feels confident in the management of a team of 10-15x front line Counsellors and Coaches as part of the Beyond Blue Support Service night roster. In this role your day-to-day operational management will include being a clinical and operational escalation point, providing clinical supervision, people management, support with continuous quality improvement projects, conduct audits and may include some front-line service delivery as part of the 24/7 roster.
You are resilient, tenacious and have demonstrated experience in developing and coaching individuals/teams. You will work closely with the Service Manager, Quality Lead and fellow Team Leaders around service optimisation and enhancements with your expertise and qualifications including:
- Demonstrated experience in people management and providing clinical supervision
- Leadership experience within complex and high-volume mental health services
- A tertiary degree and/or masters in one of the following: Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, Social Sciences, Welfare OR: Tertiary degree in unrelated field plus Graduate Diploma in Counselling from ACAP (2-year Course)
- Minimum 3-years’ experience in acute or community mental health
- Registered with ONE of the following professional bodies;
- AHPRA (as a mental health Registered Nurse, Provisional Psychologist with external supervision support or full registration as a Psychologist)
- PACFA - Minimum Provisional (working towards full registration)
- ACA - Minimum level 2
- AASW / AMHSW – Full Membership
You will be provided with relevant technology equipment to support you with your WFH setup however will be required to have the following:
- Private room/space which can be used for your home office set up
- Reliable/stable internet connection
- Demonstrated IT skills and proficiency in telephony-based systems where you are comfortable navigating multiple software, digital note taking and counselling and support simultaneously.
