- $108,572 pa + super (up to 12%) + leave loading
- 72.5 hour fortnight
- Location: Petrie (relocating to Narangba early 2024)
The Technical Operations team manage contractor delivery of a broad range of structural, stormwater, horticultural, and environmental projects, through a highly skilled project delivery team and in line with Council's capital and operational works program.
As the Team Leader Technical Operations, you'll be leading the development and delivery of multi-year maintenance programs across Councils structural, and the continual review and improvement of project delivery, contract management and procurement processes in line with corporate guidelines and legislative requirements.
You'll also be:
- Resolving complex engineering construction issues
- Providing specialist, project specific engineering advice relating to current construction legislation, Australian standards, Workplace Health, and Safety requirements and accepted work practices
- Providing technical oversight, direction, and guidance to the team 10+ technical and project staff
- Providing technical reports to management on project progress, safety, budget, program, and stakeholder impacts
- Leading process improvements of internal operational maintenance works
- Building high level relationships across a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Participation in after hours and emergency response by council may be required in this position.
As the Team Leader Technical Operations, you can share your substantial experience delivering civil, structural, environmental projects and identifying and resolving operational issues. You'll use your excellent communication and relationship building skills, engaging and building relationships that drive collaborative outcomes.
You'll also bring:
- Sound knowledge of planning and approval requirements for construction and maintenance works
- Considerable experience in managing and driving high performing teams within a complex environment
- Applied knowledge of sound financial practices within a legislative environment
- Demonstrated ability and commitment to achieving a high-level standard of governance and risk management practices
- Tertiary qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction, or substantial relevant experience
- Construction Induction Card competency (or willing to obtain at own expense)
- Current C class driver's licence required.
