What a day looks like for a person second in charge; You will be responsible and accountable for occupational health and safety of employees and contractors as per corporate and legislative requirements on their shift.Continuous improvement of safety and production performance on their shift.Work within environmental guidelines to meet corporate and legislative requirements.Ensuring that customers' expectations (internal and external) are met or exceeded.Provide leadership and direction to direct reports.Maintain quality and production standards on shift.Assist in developing people & identify training needs for shift personnel.Employee relations; Creating, implementing & ensuring the maintenance of a sound industrial relations culture on their shiftAssist in achieving budgeted costs and production forecasts for their shift.Treat people honestly and fairly.Maintain site security in line with the service centre requirements.Provide feedback on the feel of the plant and help drive morale / engagementAny other appropriate duties as required by the SupervisorPallet RepairForklift OperationTo be successful for this role, you will need the following; Demonstrated supervisory experience in an automated & people paced industrial production environment.Experience in conflict management, negotiation and people management (IR and HR)Problem solving & decision making experience with ownership & accountability in a similar environment.Exposure to continuous improvement processes and practices.Able to pass a pre-employment medical.
