The Team Manager, Internal Communications leads the Communications team in the delivery of an enterprise wide program of communication and engagement activities over multi channels/mediums, executing strategically aligned communication strategies for the organisation which promote and strengthen the TAC’s corporate brand, purpose, vision, mission and values.
Leveraging your strategic communications experience, you will support, lead and influence across the organisation, ensuring a consistent and planned approach to the communications and engagement of staff to support operational business objectives and delivery of our TAC Strategy.
Success in this role will see you actively contributing the collaborative and constructive culture, leading a high performing team in a way that inspires integrated ways of working and best practice while delivering projects in line with the business requirements.
About the Team
The Team Manager, Internal Communications reports into the Senior Manager, Partnerships, Community & Communications and leads a team of 5-6 Communications Advisors. This energetic and passionate team have built a culture of collaboration, with a shared expectation of high quality of work, strong work ethic and consistent communication. They are supportive and enjoy going above and beyond for each other and the organisation.
What we’re looking for
Strategic thinker
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing enterprise wide communications strategies, plans and platforms.
- Ability to design, develop and execute strategically aligned internal communication plans to meet diverse communication needs across the business.
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications or a related discipline or demonstrated equivalent experience
A focus on innovation and continuous improvement
- Manage and continuously improve the use of internal communication channels and application of messaging, to ensure employees are appropriately informed of TAC news, corporate initiatives, and other updates.
- Lead and influence the development of engaging content for internal channels, including the TAC Intranet, newsletters, all staff / people leader presentations and all staff communications, ensuring alignment of internal messaging and brand consistency.
- Lead and influence the communication of major organisational and transformational activities, ensuring employees are provided with clear, timely and transparent information.
Strong stakeholder engagement
- Significant experience leading a team of communications professionals
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Oversee the development and execution of communications to employees that enhance and influence employee experiences, engage and inform our people via timely, compelling and transparent communication, and support leaders to be informed and to communicate clearly and effectively.
