The Role
Working as a key contributor in the Insurance Solutions Team, you will provide hands on technical analysis of insurance (in Superannuation) member level data scenarios against business rules, requirements, and fund configuration to develop technical Oracle SQL (PL/SQL) scripts. Additionally, supporting the test team throughout the lifecycle to production implementation. As part of a project team, you will have key deliverables to ensure project success and a quality delivery.
This is a 12 months Fixed term contract role.
Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Strategic Focus
- Develop and test SQL, PL/SQL data rectification scripts to ensure data conforms correctly to requirements and fund business rules, and to update data that cannot be achieved through existing system functionality.
- Take end to end ownership of tasks and their resolution.
- Assist with first and second level Support and conduct root cause analysis of Insurance incidents.
- Provide support/assistance (where required) to the wider team.
- Lead the execution of change to improve the quality, reliability and efficiency.
- Ensuring agreed development methodologies, processes, standards, and strategies are adhered to.
- Build relationships with key Operational managers and leaders in the business.
- Work with business users (in conjunction with Business/Systems Analysts) to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Raise Service Now Incidents, JIRAs, Rollback Requests and approvals (where required)
- Provide timely reporting to manager.
Experience & Personal Attributes
- 5+ Years of demonstrable competency as Technical Analyst or equivalent role (with Insurance in superannuation knowledge required).
- 7+ Years of demonstrable high competency as a Technical Analyst with advanced hands-on experience with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL (or like technology).
- Business and Technical Analysis experience and/or product knowledge in Superannuation, Insurance highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of MS office products.
- Adaptability to working hours to meet business needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy with a pragmatic approach.
- A quick learner.
- Tertiary Qualifications in IT or a related field highly desirable.
