About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst for a Max-Term- 2 year - Full Time opportunity in THQBlackburn, VIC.
The Technical Business Analyst is responsible for overseeing the implementation of Data solutions. Will play a key role in engaging, preparing, and coordinating the technical requirements from business stakeholders to Data Engineering developers. You will work closely with senior data engineers and other cross-functional teams to implement robust and scalable data pipelines, databases, and data integration processes.
This role presents an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual who wants to build a career in data engineering, gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge Azure technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be successful in this role if you can:
- Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst within the context of a Data Warehouse, including:
- Stakeholder management and ability to elicit business and user requirements.
- Experience in writing data, functional and non-functional requirements
- Testing and validating results, identifying root cause issues, and identifying possible fixes
- Stakeholder management and ability to elicit business and user requirements.
- Moderate Data Modelling experience within the context of a Data Warehouse
- Experience with ELT/ETL (Extract, Load, Transform/Extract, Transform, Load) tools
- Demonstrated experience with Data Warehousing projects
- Working understanding of the MS Azure Data Warehouse, ETL frameworks, Synapse database, and pipelines
- Work with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into data requirements, interface specifications and data models (using Synapse Data Vault notation).
- Coordinate the build and delivery of Data Marts to Business Intelligence leads across Salvation Army departments, supporting and assisting them in the successful build of Power BI data models with row level security.
- Conduct analysis of technical solutions, identify break-fix issues. Recommend solutions, and test outputs against business and technical requirements.
- Work with the project's Business Intelligence Analyst to ensure all data needed for Power BI Dashboards, or secondary users are available and in the right format.
- Work within a project context to deliver against timelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python,
- Proficient use of Software development methodologies (Agile, Prince and Waterfall)
Requirements of the Role:
- A national police record check is required.
- Compulsory Code of Conduct, WHS and Bullying and Harassment training modules are completed and up to date.
