About the role
The Technical Assistant of Carpentry is responsible for performing a range of activities to support education and training delivery including preparation of materials and equipment, assistance to teachers during practical class sessions, and the ongoing care and maintenance of equipment, facilities and grounds within the teaching section.
About You
The successful candidate will possess:
- A passion for the Construction Industry.
- Trade qualifications appropriate to the role and trades area and/or relevant industry experience.
- Highly Desirable to hold a Construction Trade qualification.
- The ability to service, clean, repair and safely operate workshop machinery.
- An ability to maintain accurate records using various IT systems.
- A commitment to providing a quality customer service.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work as a member of a team with minimal supervision.
- Possession of or willingness to obtain prior to commencement of employment the following:
- Drivers Licence
- First Aid Certificate
- Forklift Licence
- If applicable, any other relevant licence or certification specific to the industry and essential to performance of the role.
- Ability to address and meet focus capabilities as stated in the Position Description
