Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
As a technical analyst in our pricing and portfolio analytics team, you’ll provide specialized business analysis skills to develop practical, customer focused, commercially sound and well-informed rating and underwriting solutions across processes, products and technology, in line with IAG’s priority initiatives. In this role, you'll collaborate with pricing and stakeholders to develop new rating and underwriting algorithms aligned with IAG's strategic goals. Your responsibilities include providing Technical Business analysis, documenting implementation designs, and supporting solution implementation. You'll ensure rating engine developers and testers grasp specialized requirements for smooth implementation and will apply IAG's delivery approach and agile principles, while fostering strong stakeholder relationships.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity, and you can be based out of any of our offices in New Zealand.

To be successful in this role you’ll need to have experience in the following areas:
• Over 10 years of experience as a business analyst
• Proficient in implementing highly mathematical computations.
• Skilled in Agile software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Experienced with object-oriented languages featuring inheritance structures
• Strong in workshop facilitation, presentations, and communication
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills
• Ability to analyze, interpret, and extrapolate insights from diverse data sources.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and dedicated to achieving successful outcomes.
