We have Technical Lead vacancy available within our Supernova Squad (Life3, Pricing, etc.) This role is responsible for building a high performing software delivery team using Agile, Lean and/or Continuous Delivery approaches such as continuous integration, automation & DevOps practices.The successful Tech Lead will leverage their broad expertise across modern Agile and Software Engineering practices to mentor and guide the team to develop and execute a technical direction with a focus on business & customer value. They have experience influencing stakeholders and always advocate for technical excellence while being open to change when needed.
As a Technology Expert
Accountable for delivering high quality software solutions requiring multiple technology like Salesforce, Mulesoft & integration with legacy systems into production to our customers.
Help the team understand and follow architectural design guardrails, in partnership with Architecture team.
Ensure the team builds & leverages automation effectively across our end-to-end delivery processes and the solutions offered to our business.
Lead the team to embed software engineering best practices like code reviews, unit testing, performance testing, security, design patterns and object-oriented programming.
Uplift engineering and DevOps practices to aim for smooth production releases with high quality, speed & stability.
Use engineering health metrics to help continuously improve team’s delivery maturity.
Be a change agent and advocate for emerging Engineering best practices.
As an Agility Expert
Be a change agent and ambassador for emerging Agile best practices and culture.
Establish an operating rhythm that is owned and facilitated by the team.
Create opportunities and space for learning, development, and innovation.
As a Delivery Manager
Manage all aspects of the product life cycle, from concept, requirements, design, implementation to launch.
Ensure the team has clear alignment in between their work and our business Objectives and Key Results (OKR’s).
Work with the Product Owner and the team in managing and meeting delivery expectations in and around (quarterly) planning and prioritization activities.
Guide and support the team in maintaining a healthy backlog of work including technical debt & non-functional requirements.
In order to be successful, you will require the following:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
Multiple years of hands-on software development experience
Experience leading teams
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
Excellent communication & facilitation skills.
Experience with cloud-based technology such as AWS, Docker or Kubernetes
Experience & knowledge about CI/CD pipelines & delivery
Familiarity with insurance software or financial systems is a plus.
JIRA and Confluence Proficiency is desirable.
Experience of working in flat, adaptive and collaborative delivery environments i.e. an Agile environment
