Technical Manager - Transport/ Roads Design Engineer

Your new role
Key accountabilities are:
- Advise on key governance and technical issues on infrastructure projects and implement operational goals and business plans ensuring successful delivery of projects.
- Provide advice for the resolution of technical-related problems, implementing lessons learnt from other projects.
- Monitor cost performance of projects and manage any scope and engineering changes, implementing the changes in compliance with standards.
- Ensure project designs comply with relevant standards and are fit for purpose and adhere to technical management processes.
- Review design risks and opportunities to ensure that TfNSW's risk management approach is adhered to.
- Deliver assigned technology projects through the agreed project management methodology, including the appropriate governance and reporting requirements.
- Advise and contribute to the development of works brief, technical specifications and specialist technical input required for procurement on infrastructure projects, and ensure adherence to government procurement guidelines.
- Co-ordinate the facilitation of approvals by regulatory authorities, including but not limited to submissions such as configuration (CCB), fire & life safety (F&LS), building code (BCA), and internal standards concessions.
- Manage internal knowledge transfer to project resources and maintain knowledge based on existing application and infrastructure landscape.
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated knowledge of major transport infrastructure project design.
- Experience in major transport infrastructure projects.
- Tertiary qualifications in an Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Achieve results through the efficient use of resources and a commitment to quality.
