About You In this role, you will be working as an Animal Technician in a multi species facility.To be successful, you are motivated and committed to the welfare of all animals and you will play a key role in enabling the RAF to deliver services to the University. Ideally, you will have experience working in an animal facility or related animal industry workplace with no known animal allergies. Applicants with a Diploma in Animal Technology or have completed or working towards completion of an Animal Studies qualification are encouraged to apply.Working as part of a team and using your working knowledge of the relevant Codes, you will undertake day to day operational functions within the facilities including but not limited to: animal husbandry with the ability to repeatedly lift 10kg items, record keeping, processing of equipment, regular maintenance of the facility, ensuring the availability of consumables, contribute to compliance documentation as well as providing assistance and general advice and training to users of the areas. About The Position The Technical Officer will report to the Technical Coordinator and will be responsible for providing technical support to users of the laboratories and workspaces.
