Assess applications for permits and consents across a bustling community undergoing constant development and changeComplete site inspections and protect Council assets on behalf of the community, whilst delivering excellent customer service$79,701 - 92,774 per annum (plus super and monthly RDO)Great career opportunity to join a leader in the Local Government sector in inner Melbourne.A little bit about the roleWorking collaboratively across Council, the Technical OfficerAsset Protection:Provides engineering solutions for permits and consents related to building works, vehicle crossing and drainage approvals for Onsite Detention, and Legal Point of Discharge. Assesses work undertaken by public authorities, private builders, and other building related trades, to ensure work completed is to Council’s requirements.Provides a fist-class customer experience by building constructive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.A little bit about youWith the following attributes you will be well set for success in this role:A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering and/or relevant Local Government Engineering experience.Knowledge and experience in the application of storm water drainage requirements, site inspections for onsite detention systems, storm water systems and vehicle crossings.Great communication skills with a customer first mindset.Excellent time management skills, with ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.Want to know more?
