We are seeking a dedicated Technical Officer to work alongside our esteemed plumbing teaching staff, students, and management team, contributing to the smooth operation of our Plumbing department.

- Play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and compliant workshop environment, ensuring the highest standards of occupational health and safety.
- Record and manage loan tools and equipment, ensuring their safe return each day to prevent loss.
- Coordinate the procurement of plumbing materials and equipment, obtaining quotes from suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
- Process invoices for payment and manage budget spending with approval from the Plumbing manager.
- Handle the receipt, storage, and distribution of workshop equipment and materials, maintaining necessary stock levels for student practices.
- Contribute to workshop and store duties to promote occupational health and safety compliance, ensuring a clean and tidy environment at all times.
- Experience in forklift operation and possession of a valid forklift license.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computer applications and associated software.
- Ability to efficiently manage inventory and supplies to support the needs of the Plumbing team and students.
- Certification or qualification in relevant technical or trade disciplines.
- Previous experience in a similar technical support role within an educational or workshop environment.
- Strong commitment to occupational health and safety practices and compliance.
