About the role
The Technical Officer - Water Efficiency will be a key contributor in ensuring and promoting efficient water use in the Coffs Coast region.
The successful candidate will be competent in coordinating Water Efficiency strategies and plans; implementing water education programs; preparing reports and information relating to consumer water use; monitoring water meters; preparing annual budgets and monitoring associated project costs; utilising technological systems to communicate with various stakeholders across multiple departments; and creating public education material using various formats.
As a Technical Officer - Water Efficiency, you will posses demonstrated water industry experience and practice, a passion for improvement, high level communication skills, and the ability to acquire and retain stakeholder relationships.

Do you have these key attributes?
- Demonstrated experience in implementing Water Efficiency programs, strategies and plans
- High level communication skills using a variety of formats including verbal, written and electronic
- The ability to consult and educate numerous community groups, including local schools
- Skills to effectively manage and prioritise tasks.

- Starting Salary at $79K + superannuation
- Permanent Full Time 35 hours per week

Essentials Qualifications and Experience
- Qualifications in Environmental Engineering/Science, Water Resources, Education, or equivalent
- Experience using Microsoft Office and web-based applications
- Experience in community consultation and education
- Class C drivers licence.
Desirable
- Demonstrated extensive experience in Water Efficiency
- Working With Childrens Check.
