The Technical Operations Delivery Manager (TODM) collaborates closely with the National Account Director, offering guidance and technical solutions to meet Operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). In this role, they lead and mentor direct reports, such as Regional Services Managers and Facilities Managers, ensuring operational requirements are met across the site's portfolio.
Primarily focused on Reactive and Preventative Maintenance tasks, the TODM provides technical expertise for operational challenges, compliance obligations, and asset management stipulated in the contract. This encompasses considerations like asset condition, lifecycle, backlog maintenance, and safety commitments across the site's assets.
Working in tandem with the Account Manager, the TODM plays a crucial role in formulating strategies to guarantee the following outcomes:
- Compliance
- Safety standards
- Asset maintenance management framework across the site's portfolio
- Financial accuracy and consistency, with dedicated support to the finance team
- High-level technical support and advice to the account team and client
- Attainment of contractual KPIs
The Technical Operations Delivery Manager (TODM) role requires candidates to possess specific post-secondary qualifications, industry experience, and technical expertise. The essential qualifications and experience include:
Knowledge / Experience:
- Proven ability to work within an integrated services and property model, delivering Property Management, Facilities Management, Project Management, and Financial Management Services.
- Strong business acumen with demonstrated skills in business planning and a high-level understanding of financial management.
- Demonstrated experience in relationship management with external clients and contractors, emphasizing diplomacy and contract management to build key client relationships.
- Understanding of current technical legislation related to Facilities Maintenance Management delivery.
- Substantial experience in a property or corporate real estate environment or at a senior level in a similarly complex industry.
- Hands-on management experience with medium to large contract teams.
- Experience in managing and supervising the delivery of subcontractors.
- Proven capability of working within an environment using Quality Assurance (QA), Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S), and environmental systems.
- Ability to adapt quickly to change and take a flexible and innovative approach to problem-solving and opportunities.
- Proficiency in desktop applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Formal tertiary qualifications in Property, Commerce, Business, or a similar discipline.
- Training in current Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S), QA, and environmental legislations and systems.
- Completion of an industry-recognized course in Building/Facilities Management or a related discipline (TAFE, Tertiary, or Property Council).
- Qualifications in Facilities Maintenance Management, Project Management, and/or Property Management.
- Extensive technical knowledge of complex Building Services.
