What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Business Operations Director you’ll be involved in

  • Working with global internal technology, business and project teams to deliver systems change, migrations and integration projects.
  • Managing a small portfolio of projects within a larger technical programme designed to bring the business together and improve operational efficiency.

In this capacity, your responsibilities will include

  • Planning of Technical Projects including managing project timelines.
  • Working with the BA team to define use cases and acceptance criteria for the team to develop and build against.
  • Facilitate and participate in agile planning sessions with the technical teams to ensure deliverables for future releases are agreed, acceptance criteria are accurately documented, and priority is clearly understood and in line with the programme roadmap.
  • Ensuring new systems are delivered with appropriate documentation and change management.
  • Managing project delivery to fall with agreed time, scope and cost parameters.
  • Analysis of business process.
  • Manage end-user and stakeholder expectations and engage in change management activities.

Who we’re looking for

  • 3-5 years working in a Technical Project management or product management role.
  • Experience working in lean and agile software development environments.
  • Ability to define clear market-driven product requirements and interact closely with technical teams and business users to deliver new capabilities.
  • Proven experience managing system integration projects, with a strong understanding of SaaS solution integration and migration.
  • Familiarity with integration platforms and technologies (e.g., APIs, middleware, ESB).
  • Excellent communications skills to a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What your impact and success looks like

As a Technical Project Manager, we expect your success and impact in the early stages of your career with us to look something like this:

Within 1 month:

  • Gain familiarity with the organization's systems, infrastructure, software platforms, and integration tools.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of ongoing projects, including objectives, timelines, deliverables, and resource allocations.
  • Review project documentation, including scope statements, work breakdown structures, and project plans.

Within 3 months:

  • Deliver on some quick wins.
  • Develop detailed project plans, outlining tasks, dependencies, and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate with team members to assign tasks, set deadlines, and monitor progress.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Conduct a comprehensive risk assessment for ongoing projects, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Establish regular communication channels with stakeholders, including status updates, progress reports, and issue resolutions.
  • Facilitate project meetings, ensuring productive discussions and decision-making.

Within 6 months:

  • Deliver several key projects, showing attention to detail and adherence to scope, cost and time parameters.
  • Reviewed project processes and workflows to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvement.
  • Implemented best practices and lessons learned from previous projects.
  • Fostered a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the project team.
  • Solicited feedback from internal clients on project performance and satisfaction levels.
  • Addressed any concerns or issues raised by internal clients and stakeholders and take proactive measures to enhance client satisfaction.
