About the position
We are seeking a dynamic ICT professional with demonstrated experience leading the design and implementation of complex ICT projects, in similarly sized organisations.
This role is focused on the delivery of Business Systems projects, including leading the implementation of new software systems, managing the upgrade of existing software systems, including the upgrade of corporate systems into cloud environments.
One of the key projects of this position will be initially responsible for leading the major upgrade of one of the City's key enterprise systems, Civica Authority to the cloud-based Altitude platform.
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Managing All aspects of project development and implementation across a range of large and complex ICT projects, including preparing business cases and project plans, establishing appropriate governance, identifying, allocating and managing resources, and meeting reporting requirements, are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and in line with the City's project management framework.
- Project resources, including internal and external project staff, are effectively lead and managed to deliver all key project/s milestones and outcomes
- Project resources, including software and hardware solutions, are procured in accordance with relevant policies, processes and procedures.
- Project work processes, including setting tasks and priorities, managing work flow and allocating resources, is managed efficiently and effectively.
- Allocated budgets are effectively managed, demonstrating cost effectiveness and efficiency in the use of rate payer's money in the pursuit of project objectives.
- Adequate controls are in place to manage governance, compliance and risk across the project, as measured through the City's corporate risk framework.
- Project objectives are met through regular collaboration, consultation and engagement with customers and stakeholders.
About you
You will be an adaptable and experienced ICT Professional who is passionate about delivering high quality complex Business Systems projects. You will thrive working in a busy and change driven organisation.
You have a track record of successful ICT project implementation, within budget and timeline. In addition to this you will also possess the following:
- Tertiary degree in relevant discipline such as Information Technology or project management or equivalent industry experience.
- Significant experience delivering ICT solutions within a large and complex organisation.
- Significant experience in stakeholder engagement and consultation.
- C class Drivers Licence.
