Your new company
This Federal Government agency based in Woden, ACT currently has a requirement for an APS6 equivalent level Technical Project Manager to work as part of the Technology Services division. The division is responsible for the operation of high quality, trusted, reliable and secure national digital infrastructure and support systems in a key public sector industry.
Your new role
- Undertake work that is complex in nature, under limited direction with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and accountability. The role is accountable for creating and managing integrated project schedules that align dependencies and deliverables, track progress and minimise project risk.
- Develop and manage documented plans, detailed and up-to-date project schedules, and clear formal and informal reporting.
- Exercise initiative and judgement to perform a leadership role and be responsible for defining and managing the requirements, scope and the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring compliance with the Agency’s project management framework, policies and procedures.
- Apply high level stakeholder engagement skills and be able to understand, negotiate and resolve very complex, difficult, and/or sensitive issues that may arise within a project.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong, demonstrated experience in ICT project management, preferably within the Federal Government environment.
- A technical background.
