Role Purpose

Aesop are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Technical Project Manager - Retail (Workstream Lead) on an 18-month position operating with a hybrid working pattern, based at our global head office in Collingwood.

Reporting to the Head of Technology, Asia & Global Integration Delivery, you will be accountable for managing the implementation of retail solution working collaboratively with all parties, including Aesop Technology teams, L'Oréal Market and Domain Technology leads, potentially operating across different time-zones. This implementation is critical to the successful Integration technology program and building a foundation for the wider In-market integration program.

Your primary responsibility is to ensure that the stream produces the required deliverables within the agreed tolerances of scope, time, cost, and quality. In collaboration with Aesop and L'Oréal technology teams, you will also be responsible for transitioning to a new support model to ensure the implementation is operationally supported post-Go Live.

You must ensure appropriate governance, reporting, business engagement and vendor management throughout the program to reduce uncertainty in stream delivery. Collaboration with the different functional areas of the overall Technology program, including business stakeholders (both Aesop and L'Oréal side) will be key to successful delivery.

As an experienced delivery practitioner with expertise enterprise systems, you will be expected to work with minimal supervision to reach desired outcomes.

Key responsibilities (not limited to)

  • Manage delivery of the required work-packages by taking responsibility for overall quality, progress, and use of resources, initiating corrective action as necessary. The role is responsible for the detailed management of:
    • Technical change and configuration required to implement solution
    • Deployment of solution and supporting processes to the business and transition to BAU operation
  • Provide oversight and coordination of vendors who are responsible for technology implementation, and integration of this implementation into the overall stream plan
  • Manage the Aesop responsibilities, tasks and deliverables within the stream, and allocation of resources, working collaboratively with all parties
  • Supporting on integration of the stream plan into the overall program plan, identifying and managing interdependencies
  • Actively manage, mitigate and/or resolve stream risks, issues and changes as they arise
  • Overall progress monitoring and reporting, and timely escalation of exceptions
  • Stream governance and control, including operation of the steering committee
  • Lead and motivate the team by fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Identify and engage with stakeholders, including facilitation of relevant stakeholder working groups

  • Strong experience leading a large complex project team
  • Excellent organisational, time and self-management skills
  • Detail oriented, with a strong sense of initiative and excellent follow through skills
  • Solid understanding of the technology capabilities the support a global retailer
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good level of understanding of new technologies
  • Proficient in Atlassian suite tooling and Microsoft Office
  • Experience delivering large global enterprise projects
  • Broad retail operations experience
