As the Technical Sales Representative you with play a vital role in developing business and promote product and services with existing customers and establish new accounts within the designated territory.
Key Accountabilities in the position, but not limited to:
- Develop new business opportunities within the target industry and manage valued relationships with new and existing customers.
- Maintain contact with customers in person, by telephone and by email in accordance with a call plan based on customer requirements and your managers expectations.
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge on products and technical services to enable you to deliver the highest level of customer service and support.
- Participate in company sponsored corporate events and activities.
- Provide sales reports on all phases of field activities as required by Management.
- Prepare pricing and quotes in accordance with set Company guidelines and discounting structures to maximise profitability.
- Work with the relevant business sectors to prepare and deliver professional sales presentations as needed to existing or prospective customers.
- Co-ordinate and facilitate product training with customers in relation to new product implementation, product use, application, and specifications.
- Knowledge of cabinet maker, window/door industry or hardware industry, highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Professional presentation and communication skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in sales, marketing or business considered an advantage.
- Ability to work autonomously, with some travel to regional and interstate locations.
- Knowledge in DIY retail chains or associated networks.
- Willingness to have extensive product training to set you up for success.
- Strong customer service and results focused in a fast-paced environment.
- Eligible Driver’s License.
