Overview
The primary objective of this role is the effective day to day management of team activities to ensure agreed service level standards are met. This will be achieved by proactive assessment of daily deliverables, effective allocation and performance of resources, and escalation of issues to ensure accurate and timely processing of all documentation received from investors, industry participants and issuers.
Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Identify and coordinate corporate events that impact MFO to ensure critical dates are met and client specific requirements are adhered to
Ensure all transactions are processed within the time frames provided by the Client Service Level Agreements (SLA).
Ensure operational and communications compliance with client Business Rules
Maintain up to date knowledge of all current policies and procedures affecting your team to ensure effective management/utilisation of all resources under your control in an efficient manner at all times.
Effectively coordinate and/or resolve any escalated issues and/or shareholder/ issuer feedback or complaints
Apply procedures and understand and communicate business risks as they apply to each situation
Contribute to the review, development and implementation of technologies or work practices where appropriate
Assist in the development and management of key internal and external relationships related to you team in a professional manner at all times.
Participate in various team, project and management meetings as required
Assist in the development and training of staff in accordance with operational objectives and core values of Link at all times, contributing to succession planning and individual career development of the staff
Assist in the management and monitoring of staff performance via productivity and error statistics and provide feedback on individual performance through 1 on 1 sessions and biannual performance reviews
Experience & Personal Attributes
A minimum of 1 year experience managing a small to medium size team
Demonstrated experience in/knowledge of the managed funds industry and financial markets.
Sound motivational skills
Good oral and written communication skills
Highly developed organisational and problem solving skills
General technical competence and the ability to learn new systems quickly
Flexibility - able to meet demanding deadlines and work long hours, including weekends, to meet those deadlines, as required.
