We are now looking for a highly experienced Technical Support Specialist to work out of our Sydney City MG Flagship Alexandria location. This role will report to the Technical Manager see you provide technical assistance and support the authorised dealer network and ensure concerns are rectified in a timely and efficient manner.
Your Responsibilities
•Assisting dealer staff to resolve any technical concerns raised regarding vehicle product
• Assist dealers in technical aspects of a dealer’s service department
• Communicate and assist with issues pertaining to vehicle logistics
• Providing Technical Support at company events
• Liaise with the factory on technical, training, and dealer issues in conjunction with the Technical Manager
• Aid with technical documentation and reporting concerning homologation and new vehicle models
• Work with business units, product and solutions teams, and other stakeholders to launch new products and solutions – these may include existing product enhancements
• Compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned from time to time.
Who are we looking for?
Technical Competencies
Must Have's
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Aftersales Service within the Automotive retail and/or wholesale environments - essential
• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology - essential
• Motor Vehicle Tradesperson Certificate (for relevant state or territory) - essential
• Proven record of supporting dealerships in a technical capacity - essential
• Experience and understanding of automotive systems and associated diagnostic techniques - essential
Desirable
• Automotive Air Conditioning Refrigerant Handling License - desirable
Behavioural competencies
• Be able to work independently and under pressure within a challenging environment.
• Strong time management, organisational and computer skills
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as autonomously (independently).
