The Role

As a Technology Risk Senior Consultant, you will be involved in executing Technology Risk and Audit engagements. You will have direct, client-facing engagement responsibilities and serve as both role model and trainer. Additionally, you will always demonstrate excellent client service and be an aspiring leader to coach and mentor our consultants. Liaising with the team, you will identify areas of risk and opportunities to improve our client’s business and technology processes. You will also work alongside our Technology Consulting teams and have regular exposure to senior leaders in our firm.
In this role, you will:
- Review, document, evaluate and test Technology Risk and controls.
- Communicate control strengths and weaknesses to your stakeholders and develop effective solutions to identified weaknesses.
- Prepare audit reports on your findings and present your findings as well as your recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Ensure timely completion of every project phase and apply your understanding of business processes and technical skills to successfully complete project assignments.
- Develop and maintain effective client relationships.
- Develop understanding of project requirements and the client’s business.
About you:
- 3+ years in a related field preferably in professional services.
- A diverse skill base in both internal IT auditing and information systems.
- Internal audit technical skills including conducting stakeholder interviews, preparing internal audit scopes, work programs, reports and flowcharts.
- Experience conducting internal IT audits in accordance with regulatory compliance frameworks such as Sarbanes Oxley and/or APRA’s CPS234 standard.
- Experience in conducting IT audits across technology domains such as IT governance and risk management, user access management, change management, disaster recovery or project assurance (ideally two or more).
- Excellent project management, client relationship and time management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and in teams, and to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report writing.
