Our client is a NSW State Government Department that is actively seeking an experienced Events Coordinator to join a high performing team immediately on a short term contract, due to end in May 2024.
Responsibilities
- Source, contract, liaise with and site manage food and beverage providers
- Contract and act as conduit between performers and Creative Australia for performance activities
- Work with Producer Events & Engagement to produce worksheets and collaboratively create production schedule and risk management documents
- Book travel and accommodation for performers
- Coordinate green room access and changeovers including hospitality as required
- Coordinate with Riverside Theatre for dressing venue and sourcing décor, furniture and bespoke space interventions including art projections and red carpet etc
- Production manages set-up
- Process invoices for payment and write a concluding report
- Experience in managing and coordinating events, particularly in settings such as theatres, outdoor spaces, and similar venues
- Ability to source, contract, and manage relationships with food and beverage providers
- Experience in contracting and acting as a liaison between performers and organising bodies
- Experience producing detailed worksheets, creating collaborative production schedules, and developing risk management plans
- Experience in coordinating venue preparation, including sourcing décor, arranging furniture, and implementing bespoke space interventions like art projections and special setups
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements and work under pressure
- Problem solving skills
