Proudly Australian owned and operated, Total Hardware is a multiple family owned and run business servicing and supplying the security door & screens, window fabricators, timber door and window industries with quality hardware since 2000. Head Office and our major distribution centre are in Melbourne, and we operate on a national footprint with additional offices and warehouses located in Canning Vale, Western Australia, and the Gold Coast in Queensland. Our National team of Territory Managers are based in all States of Australia and during this time we have gained a reputation for a level of service, knowledge, and friendship that other company’s envy.
The Role
Responsible for managing a portfolio of customers in the various market segments we supply into metropolitan Adelaide and the Greater South Australia & Mildura, Victoria region, the role requires a disciplined, ambitious, and self-driven individual with proven sales experience and success who can work autonomously and within a national team structure.
In addition to managing a well-established customer base you will be responsible for creating and nurturing new customer opportunities. Working with key major accounts will also be part of the role portfolio. The role requires regular monthly travel throughout South Australia and annual travel to the Eastern States for meetings and conferences.
Skills & Experience
You will have a strong knowledge of the South Australian sales channels that we operate in together with established relationships in the industry. You must be comfortable discussing and presenting the technical features and benefits of our products and have experience working within the door and window, security, window fabricators and the timber door and window industries in South Australia to deliver product solutions and the benefits of these to your customers. You will enjoy learning about new products and introducing them to your portfolio of clients. You will require the following:
- Related sales experience.
- Consistent and success in driving sales growth in South Australia.
- Experience working with the security, fabricator, and timber window market segments.
- Advanced communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and 365.
- CRM maintenance, reporting discipline and experience.
- Effective and efficient time management and planning.
- Maintaining and growing sales with our existing customers based in South Australia.
- Identifying new sales and business opportunities & increasing our sales base.
- Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of our business products and value proposition.
- Identifying the evolving customer needs and be aware of new, emerging products and competition in our industry.
- Securing new product sales within your region and territory.
- Developing growth strategies and working in conjunction with our Director of Sales.
- Working in a collaborative manner with our internal sales, warehousing, and finance teams.
- Plan and report daily, weekly, and monthly activities and call cycles.
