About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Territory Manager to join our Designs for Vision team based in Brisbane, QLD. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager you’ll have the opportunity to work across our full suite of surgical products within the Ophthalmology range, bringing leading brands to life.
This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, visiting and engaging with; Ophthalmologists, Orthoptists, and Nursing professionals and other theatre staff within a medical setting.
The Salesperson appointed will be responsible for the management of existing customers through education and support, as well as delivering on the company strategy.
In addition, you will be responsible for developing new customer opportunities, promoting medical devices, conducting surgical/medical product trials, supporting devices in surgical cases and the provision of in-service training.
You will play a critical role in building and maintaining strong relationships with a portfolio of key customers to drive revenue and increase market share.
You will be responsible for:
- Efficient Territory Management: Strategy, planning, monitoring, reporting, implementing organised calls and smart travel plans
- Planning your working week to achieve sales revenue targets for a thriving territory, including financial metrics related to top-line growth, and market share
- Visiting regular clients and prospective businesses to establish selling opportunities
- Assessing customer needs and recommend products, accordingly, providing quotes and technical information as required
- Assist the overall surgical team by promoting the surgical range of products when in the operating theatre with a particular focus on IOLs and phacoemulsification. Where required, provide education and information effectively to all clinical end users and hospital staff
- Service customer enquiries promptly and referring to management if assistance is required and maintain close communication with colleagues to always ensure excellence in service delivery
- Develop subject matter expertise in ophthalmology as it relates to our range of products.
- Establish strong relationships within a comprehensive network of accounts and stakeholders.
- Communicating with customers to ensure entire solutions are met in an effective and efficient manner
- Gaining and improving sales within your territory
- Monitoring customers changing needs, competitor activity and report on developments to relevant internal staff
- Company reporting and customer care
- Existing business relationships with ophthalmologists, hospitals and day surgery customers in Brisbane an advantage.
- Medical Devices sales experience
- Industry experience or qualifications in a related discipline such as Nursing or Orthoptics
- An ability to understand and disseminate clinical and complex technical information to others
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Strong computer skills
- An ability to work collaboratively within multiple teams
- Demonstrated ability to plan, travel and work flexibly
- Organisational skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Honesty, reliability, commitment and a desire to help medical professionals improve surgical/diagnostic outcomes
