About the Role
As a Test Analyst, you will report to the Test Lead and will play a crucial role in shaping the overall Test Practice for the business. Working as a part of the Alayacare project team, this role will be responsible for developing and executing test cases, managing defects for multiple software applications, and working with team to deliver a quality release. The role will require excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight time frames.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include
- Developing functional, integration and regression test scripts.
- Consulting appropriate stakeholders to ensure that correct test scripts are developed for application changes.
- Manage the test environment requirements for all aspects of testing.
- Document and Identify test data required to execute planned test cases
- Execution of test scripts and document the test results accurately.
- Creating and managing defects using defect management system.
- Assist in post-deployment testing when required.
- Creating, updating, and maintaining knowledge base articles and procedures.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role in a variety of complex situations, preferably on large projects/programs across different test phases.
- An understanding of test automation would be advantageous.
- Solid knowledge of defect management principles and processes.
- Demonstrable knowledge of testing practices and methodologies over the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) across System / Functional Testing, SIT, UAT and Regression Testing.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with an ability to engage and influence both business and technical people.
- Experience with data analysis, spreadsheets and statistics
