Role/Title: Sr. Test Engineer

Mode of Hiring: Permanent

Location : Sydney

Relevant Experience: 7+ Years

Role & Responsibilities:

Tester Experience & Skills we are looking for :

Advocates for and contributes to implementing Quality Practices initiatives in the Squad and Crew.

Creates overarching testing artifacts (Test Strategy/Approach, Test Exit Report) aligned with minimum testing standards, ensuring regular review and sign-off.

Participates in defect triage meetings with Product Owners, following up until defect closure, and share bug status reports regularly with stakeholders.

Identifies and applies tools to accelerate quality, demonstrating analytical skills for designing effective test strategies aligned with project requirements.

Exhibits a strong problem-solving acumen, efficiently addressing issues throughout the testing process.

Possess proficiency in creating test automation scripts , good if have experiences on test automation framework setup.

Demonstrates expertise in data handling within the context of API testing to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Works closely with everyone on project squads to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.

Involves in all other project activities such as increment planning, requirements analysis, deployment process, release management, etc.

Good to have Payment or credit card project experience

Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD implementation - Teamcity, Jenkins, Octopus.

Proficiency with a diverse set of tools, including Postman, SoapUI, Rest Assured/Rest Sharp for API automation, JMeter/Loadrunner for performance testing and Git for version control.

Adept at utilizing various tools, libraries, and frameworks to conduct thorough API testing.

Deep understanding of API testing tools, frameworks, and libraries, with expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, or other widely-used automation languages.

Proficient in formulating API automation strategies from conception to execution.

Extensive experience in testing within agile methodologies, seamlessly adapting to iterative development cycles.

Emphasis on collaboration, effective communication, and adherence to established QA processes as foundational expectations.

Competence in version control systems, parallel execution, test maintenance, and BDD (Behavior-Driven Development), complemented by robust programming and analytical capabilities.

Acute awareness of cloud environments, with experience integrating API tests into CI/CD pipelines.
