Our client is Australia's sole vertically-integrated steel manufacturer specialises in recycling, manufacturing, and distributing steel long products. As the nation's largest processor and distributor, it offers various products such as reinforcing bar, mesh, tubular sections, and wire products.
Description
Role Purpose: The Testing Technician is responsible for conducting daily testing of steel products, compiling data for reporting to certification bodies, and maintaining laboratory processes and procedures. Key responsibilities include providing technical support, troubleshooting, and contributing to research and development efforts.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Ensure safety compliance and accountability.
- Conduct laboratory testing and report results.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives.
- Compile data for reporting to certification bodies.
Profile
Successful candidates in this role will have the following skills:
- Minimum 3 years of quality and testing experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks.
- Proficiency in quality control standards and procedures.
- Computer literacy.
Preferred Skills:
- Background in operations, engineering, or metallurgy.

Job Offer
